COMMENTS: Art deco era, circa 1920-30’s. This engagement ring holds a 1 carat cushion cut diamond. The diamond is VS2 clarity, and K Color. There are accent diamonds on either side and going down the shoulders of the ring. The wedding band has been soldered to the engagement ring but can be separated if desired. Currently, the ring has an arthritic shank which will be removed prior to shipping. Because the arthritic shank will be removed before shipping, the ring will be cleaned and polished to look like new. Also, we can size the ring at this time and separate them if needed. This vintage ring will touch your heart and soul with its timeless beauty. There’s something magical about jewelry from another era, with its own story to tell. Pictured as received from a local estate. Very good estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age. Cleaning and/or polishing by request at no additional cost.
The Art Deco Period, which began around 1920 and ended about 1935, produced brilliant jewelry which was in contrast to the jewelry of the previous periods. The emphasis shifted from soft colors and flowing lines to bold, bright colors and straight lines. Women cut their long hair and began wearing it short and boyish. This was the era of jazz and flappers! Art Deco jewelry complimented the flamboyant and playful attitude of the day and remains a favorite of collectors today.
