COMMENTS: Crafted of 14k yellow gold, this snook fish pendant is set with a sapphire eye and black diamond stripe across its back. The fish has excellent detail, with a polished body and etched detail on the fins and tail. The common snook is a species of marine fish in the family Centropomidae of the order Perciformes. The common snook is also known as the sergeant fish or robalo. It was originally assigned to the sciaenid genus Sciaena; Sciaena undecimradiatus and Centropomus undecimradiatus are obsolete synonyms for the species. Snook in general are distinctive in appearance, with a characteristic protruding lower jaw and a particularly prominent black lateral line running from the gill cover to the tail.
