COMMENTS: Amazing hand pierced filigree ring crafted in sterling silver dating to the 1840’s, Victorian era. Masterful craftsmanship is apparent in the composition and intricate details. It displays a lively emerald faceted Aquamarine with beautiful watery blue hue. Pictured with undisturbed natural aged patina. Polishing or cleaning are available by request at no additional cost. In very good estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
According to legend the aquamarine originated in the treasure chest of fabulous mermaids, and has, since ancient times, been regarded as the sailors’ lucky stone.
