COMMENTS: Fun and fabulous, these earrings are crafted of luxurious 18k white and rose gold. The earrings feature an interlocking circle design which hangs 1 3/4″ in length with posts and secure friction backs. The white gold circles, which hang with the circle design facing forward, are set with fully cut diamonds totaling about 1/2 carat. The pink sapphires are set throughout the rose gold circles which alternate with the white gold circles and have the edge of the circle facing forward. The edge of the circle showcase the prong set pink sapphires which may be considered to be rubies in some people’s opinion. Did you know sapphires come in all colors of the rainbow?! Pink sapphires belong to the corundum family of minerals. They contain traces of iron, titanium, magnesium, copper and chromium that help determine its color. The higher the chromium content, the deeper the pink hue. In some cases, it’s difficult to distinguish a pink sapphire from a ruby, it all depends on the viewer and if how they see color. Many cultures and people believe pink sapphires hold special power. They symbolize trust, loyalty and sincerity. They’re also believed to carry good fortune and intense love. Circa 1980’s. Pictured as received from a local estate. Excellent estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
