COMMENTS: Crafted of rich 18k yellow gold, this cap has a lovely flower petal shape design holding a drop black pearl. The black pearl is grayish in color with purple and blue overtones. It displays excellent luster throughout the exposed portion. It appears the top of the pearl, in the setting, has some sort of film making it appear more white inside the cap. The piece hangs from a bail for a lovely little drop pendant. According to history and the myths, pearls are symbolic of wisdom gained through experience. The gems are believed to offer protection, as well as attract good luck and wealth. It is also said that these little gemstones are symbolic of the wearer’s loyalty, generosity, integrity, and purity. Circa 1980’s. Pictured as received from a local estate. Excellent estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
