Victorian era Buckle or Garter bracelet circa 1860-1880. Handcrafted of fine 14K gold in a mesh link design featuring an ornate working buckle clasp. This can adjust in size from 6-1/2" length to 7-1/2". The bracelet is finished with a tassel and safety chain. The belt/buckle is much like the serpent, it represents eternity, fidelity/loyalty, strength and protection. As the symbol curves around and threads back into itself, creating an eternal loop, it threads through the buckle and tightly overlaps itself. Pictured as received. Cleaning and or polishing are available by request at no additional cost.
