Federal Reserve Notes
The United States Federal Reserve Bank issues various denominations of banknotes, commonly known as dollars, which form an integral part of the global economy. These denominations include the $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills.
Each note is distinctly color-coded and carries unique symbols and portraits representing influential figures in American history. For instance, George Washington graces the $1 bill while Benjamin Franklin adorns the $100 bill. Higher denominations, specifically the $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 notes, were once in circulation but are now rarely seen.
The Federal Reserve Bank’s systematic design and issuance of these notes underscore its pivotal role in maintaining monetary stability.
