National Currency
The United States National Currency notes, also known as United States Notes, are a rich tapestry that tells the story of the country’s economic history. First authorized by the Legal Tender Act of 1862, these notes have come in a wide variety of denominations, ranging from the commonly used $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills, to the less frequently seen $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 bills.
Each note showcases the portraits of renowned American historical figures, such as George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, and their designs reflect the ever-evolving spirit and identity of the nation. The elegance and intricacy of the designs, along with the robust security features, render these notes not just as mere instruments of trade, but also as works of art and symbols of national identity.
