COMMENTS: Circa 1920-30’s. This ring has a simple setting with a 1.17 Carat round center diamond and 2 baguettes. The diamond is a transitional cut VS1 Clarity, L color. Transitional cut diamonds represent a period of cutting and time when diamond cutting was making the transition from Old European Cut to a Modern Brilliant Cut. This would make an excellent choice for an engagement ring today. The design is so classic and would never go out of style! It can easily by paired with a fancy wedding band or a classic band giving you endless options to make the wedding set your own! This vintage ring will touch your heart and soul with its timeless beauty. There’s something magical about jewelry from another era, with its own story to tell. Pictured as received from a local estate. Excellent estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age. Cleaning and/or polishing by request at no additional cost.
The Art Deco Period, which began around 1920 and ended about 1935, produced brilliant jewelry which was in contrast to the jewelry of the previous periods. The emphasis shifted from soft colors and flowing lines to bold, bright colors and straight lines. Women cut their long hair and began wearing it short and boyish. This was the era of jazz and flappers! Art Deco jewelry complimented the flamboyant and playful attitude of the day and remains a favorite of collectors today.
