COMMENTS: This memorable engagement ring dates back to the Edwardian period, circa 1901-1915, making this ring over 100 years old and true antique. The center of the ring features a 0.14 carat Old European cut round diamond that has been set into a white gold octagonal shaped head. These antique diamonds have a special charm because diamond cutters had to rely on their eyes rather than modern technology to hand-cut them, making each stone unique. The setting is composed of 14k gold and is two toned, yellow and white. The setting has been hand crafted with beautiful filigree scroll work and hand engraved floral details, it really is a work of art. Pictured as received from a local estate, in excellent estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age. This era is especially sought after today, propose with one a one of a kind piece of history.
