4ctw Old European Diamond Platinum & 14k Edwardian Bolo Bracelet GIA
Antique meets modern in this one of a kind, Edwardian Diamond bolo bracelet. The jeweler who created this amazing creation skillfully repurposed an all original, early 1900’s, Edwardian era, platinum and diamond brooch and connected it to a simple white gold bolo bracelet you see here today. The center of the bracelet features (1) 1.70 carat bezel set European round diamond that is graded VS2 in clarity and J color, the center diamond does have a GIA certificate. The primary diamond is flanked by Old European cut diamonds and accentuated by lace like detail. There are an additional 1.06 carats of smaller European round accent diamonds that are beautifully set in the frame work of the brooch top. The Edwardian period was known for it’s ethereal and delicate designs, as well as the abundant use of diamonds. Advances were made in Platinum fabrication, allowing the diamonds to be set in a minimal amount of metal to give jewelry a softer, lighter look, that is so coveted by this era. Milgrain was a new decorative technique that was mastered and used in a great majority of Edwardian jewelry, like this piece. The bolo bracelet portion of this piece is composed of solid 14k white gold. This bracelet is adjustable, as the flat bead can be pulled to adjust to your size and will fit from a 6 1/2″ to 8” wrist. This piece is in very good estate condition with no noteworthy flaws to report, only beauty.
