COMMENTS:1 1/2 carat light blue aquamarines are set in simple 14k white gold basket stud earrings. Aquamarine, named for the Latin phrase “water of the sea”, is the blue to blue-green variety Beryl. It is calming, soothing, and cleansing, and inspires truth, trust and letting go. In ancient lore, Aquamarine was believed to be the treasure of mermaids, and was used by sailors as a talisman of good luck, fearlessness and protection. It was also considered a stone of eternal youth and happiness. The earrings will come with gold backings. Circa 1980’s. Pictured as received from a local estate. Very good estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
