RARE Graves Malone El Paso Texas Ranger Belt Buckle Set 10K/18K Gold, Ruby c.1930-40's
Rare GRAVES MALONE Ranger Buckle Set on leather alligator belt. Recently purchased from a collector of Western Americana. They owned it for more than three decades. The belt gently worn and shows signs of surface wear that could easily be reconditioned. The precious metal and gemstone components are in excellent condition and are museum quality. Very few pieces of Malone’s remain on the open market today. They have been snatched up by private collectors and Western Museums. This hand engraved set is 18kt yellow & rose gold and 10kt rose gold accented by five round faceted genuine Ruby gemstones measuring .59 carat. The three pieces that are easily removable weigh 46.9 grams. Graves Malone’s Family came to Texas in 1832 and fought in the Texas Revolution. They found their way West to Isleta and El Paso where Graves was later born and raised. Graves Malone created fine jewelry in El Paso in the late 30’s around the same time of Holland, Nelson Silvia, and Ed Bohlin. Grave’s buckles were very popular with the Western Movie Stars of that era. Many of his pieces remain in the hands of those Movie Star’s heirs and are displayed in special showcases and wall frames. Graves Malone died in El Paso around 1950. You can be the proud owner of this scarce, seldom offered, original piece of Graves Malone Jewelry! You can of course have your own belt crafted to fit this amazing set. The included belt measures 43″ end to end and is 13/16″ to 1″ wide.
