COMMENTS: Crafted of 14k yellow gold, this solitaire ring features a checkerboard cut amethyst measuring 4 3/4 carats. The stone is truly eye catching with its nice saturated color and fancy cut. The checkerboard facets enhance the stones shine as it stands out from the yellow gold setting. The prongs are chunky and hold the amethyst on top of a gold frame. The stone is chipped on one of the corners which is hardly noticeable in person. From its earliest discovery, amethyst’s sumptuous shade has cast a spell that extends from ancient times to the present. It symbolizes royalty, passion, daring, and dreaminess. February’s birthstone has a rich purple equally gorgeous in white, yellow, or rose gold. It is also used to celebrate the 6th wedding anniversary. Birthstone: February Anniversary: 6 Zodiac: Sagittarius. Circa 1980’s. Pictured as received from a local estate. Very good estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
