Vintage 14k White Gold Sapphire Art Deco Ring

COMMENTS: This natural GIA certified round sapphire, weighing 1.39 carat displays a beautiful light blue hue referred in the industry as corn flower blue, photographs portray the Sapphire darker than in person. While GIA was inconclusive in being able to determine the country of origin of this gemstone, this color was most often mined from Ceylon during this era. Ceylon Sapphires and particular this hue of color is very desirable by jewelry aficionados. The gemstone is of high quality in clarity as well as color. This gemstone features an old round cut, and was hand polished and cut. The Sapphire is bright and glistens beautiful. The solitaire art deco setting is a work of art in itself, starting with the geometric hexagon top that cascades down to pierced openwork, and hand engraved details. The best representation of the color of this Sapphire is shown in the picture on the hand in natural lighting. Pictured as received from a local estate. Very good estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
