Estate 14k Rose Gold Morganite and Diamond Ring
Crafted of the very popular rose gold, this gemstone ring features a large light pink morganite measuring 6 3/4 carats! The oval cut gemstone has checkerboard cut facets along the top adding to its light-catching and reflecting pattern! It is securely prong-set in 4 prongs with a pretty diamond halo surrounding it. The setting includes 138 single cut diamonds which can be seen from every angle! They continue down the shoulders of the ring and accents in the profile. Under the morganite is a cut out swirling under gallery. Morganite is the pink to orange-pink variety of beryl, a mineral that includes other gems such as emerald and aquamarine. Morganite’s subtle color is caused by traces of manganese. Because morganite has distinct pleochroism—pale pink and a deeper bluish pink—it’s necessary to orient the rough carefully for fashioning. Strong color in morganite is rare, and gems usually have to be large to achieve the finest color. Morganite has become a popular alternative for an engagement ring with its sweet romantic color and bright appearance. Circa 1990’s. Pictured as received from a local estate. Excellent estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
